CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- October 2019 -(BUSINESS WIRE)–Kenco Logistics, North America’s leading third-party logistics provider, today will host the grand opening of the company’s Supply Chain Innovation Test Lab on the campus of Kenco’s corporate headquarters in Chattanooga, TN.
“Our work in the Innovation Test Lab has already brought value to our customers, and this new space will provide a formal space to review, research and promote technology to only further assist in our goal to provide the greatest insight to our customers.”
The 10,000-square-foot space will serve as a true test facility for Kenco’s team of innovation specialists to assess value-added technologies and provide advanced visibility into these solutions. Testing potential supply chain management solutions and technological advancements outside of a live operation enables Kenco to deliver enhanced accuracy and sustainability and improve implementation speeds for customers.
A combination of technology experts and supply chain engineers will deliver full value insight on a wide range of logistics solutions, with the scale of the warehouse space allowing all these technologies to be tested simultaneously. The first technologies that will be tested in the facility include NextShift Robotics, a fundamentally unique autonomous mobile robotics solution; Locus Robotics, a provider of efficient and powerful autonomous mobile robot solutions designed for warehouse fulfillment; SVT Robotics, a software company that’s revolutionizing robot deployments in warehousing and manufacturing industries; LogistiVIEW, an AI and vision-driven picking software for smart glasses; and WMS software from JDA and HighJump.
“We are dedicated to leading the digital transformation of the supply chain,” said Denis Reilly, President and CEO, Kenco Logistics. “The Innovation Test Lab is one example of our commitment to providing well-vetted, cutting-edge technologies to our customers, allowing them to achieve improved performance and enhanced supply chain value.”
