Kenco Supplier Code of Conduct

Kenco values responsible and ethical business and supply chain practices, and we expect our suppliers to share in these commitments. This Supplier Code of Conduct outlines and describes minimum standards, critical to our business, to ensure compliance with ethical, legal, environmental, and safety expectations.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance
Kenco expects all suppliers to comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws, regulations, and standards, including but not limited to:
- Labor laws
- Safety standards
- Environmental laws
- Business integrity and ethical standards
Every Kenco supplier is responsible for compliance with the standards set in this Code of Conduct throughout its operations and its entire supply chain.
Labor and Human Rights - Forced and Child Labor: Kenco expects its suppliers to uphold fair labor practices, including all applicable wage and labor laws. All forms of labor must be voluntary, and modern forms of slavery and human trafficking are strictly prohibited. Suppliers shall not use any forced, compulsory, bonded, or involuntary labor. Suppliers shall not employ children under 15 years of age. Suppliers shall not expose employees under the age of 18 to hazardous working environments or require them to work during hours that interfere with schooling.
- Non-Discrimination: Suppliers shall not discriminate based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, age, or other legally protected status. Kenco expects that suppliers maintain a workplace where diversity, equal opportunities, and inclusivity are valued and supported among its employees. Suppliers shall treat employees with respect and shall not tolerate any harassment or abuse of any kind.
- Fair Wages and Benefits: Suppliers shall act in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding fair and minimum wages and shall make all legally mandated benefits available to employees.
- Working Hours and Conditions: Suppliers shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding working hours, rest periods, and overtime. Suppliers shall provide adequate working conditions that are safe, clean, and conducive to the positive health and well-being of their employees.
- Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining: Suppliers shall recognize the rights of employees to freedom of association, to bargain collectively, and to engage in peaceful assembly. Additionally, suppliers shall recognize the rights of employees to refrain from such activities.
Health and Safety - Workplace Safety: Suppliers shall provide employees a safe and healthy working environment that supports good health and well-being. Suppliers shall comply with applicable occupational health and safety regulations and appropriate trainings and risk assessments. Suppliers shall include and require the use of appropriate personal protective equipment in the approach to health and safety management.
- Prevention: Suppliers shall implement procedures and safeguards to prevent workplace hazards, work-related accidents, and injuries.
Environment - Compliance: Kenco suppliers shall act in accordance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
- Impact: Suppliers shall operate responsibly with care for the environment, and take appropriate conservation measures regarding waste management, water, and energy consumption practices.
- Sustainability: Kenco is committed to evaluating and improving upon its own carbon footprint and encourages its suppliers to follow the same principles by measuring their emissions and integrating responsible operational practices.
Ethical Business Practices - Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery: Corruption and bribery are strictly prohibited. Suppliers shall neither engage in nor tolerate association with any form of corruption, bribery, extortion, or embezzlement. Suppliers shall conduct their business to a high ethical standard and comply with relevant legislation on bribery, corruption and prohibited business practices.
- Conflicts of Interest: Suppliers shall disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that would influence or appear to influence business objectivity or integrity.
- Data Privacy, Information Security, and Confidentiality: Suppliers shall respect and protect all rights applicable to confidential information and intellectual property. Suppliers must adhere to contractual requirements regarding confidentiality, including, but not limited to compliance with all applicable data protection, information security, and privacy laws involving the collection, storage, management, diffusion, or disclosure of Kenco data.
Speak up - Notice: Suppliers shall promptly report any violation of this Code of Conduct. Suppliers should report any violation(s) and may submit any questions or comments regarding this Code of Conduct, to: Procurement@kencogroup.com
- No Retaliation: Suppliers will not retaliate or take disciplinary action against any employee who, in good faith, reports compliance or ethical concerns, or who cooperates through the course of an investigation.
Suppliers must be able to demonstrate compliance with this Code of Conduct upon Kenco’s request, and suppliers are expected to take prompt action to correct any non-compliance. Kenco reserves the right to terminate any business relationship with any supplier if compliance with this Code of Conduct cannot be demonstrated or if a supplier fails to meet any of the standards herein.
